Scardamaglia Vineyard is located in Sonoma Valley, on a hillside in the shadow of Sonoma Mountain, just a few hundred yards from Sonoma Mountain appellation. This is a 25 year old vineyard that struggles to produce 2 tons per acre. These vines produce very small berries with concentrated dark fruit flavors. This vineyard is just down the road from many famous Cabernet Vineyards such as Laurel Glen.
Our 2007 Becnel Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Russian River Valley appellation. The Vineyard is on a mountaintop at 1500 feet elevation, which is above the fog on most summer days. This allows us to grow great Cabernet in the Russian River Valley appellation. We get the coolness from the Russian River fog yet we are in the sun and receive enough sunlight and heat to grow this great Cabernet.
